The WiseMind app keeps nothing about you and never connects to the internet on its own. This website counts visits so we can see whether people are finding it, and keeps your email only if you ask to hear about the app. Here is exactly what that means.

The app

No account, nothing collected. WiseMind never asks who you are. It has no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting, and it does not send anything about you anywhere.

What stays on your phone. The only thing the app saves is whether you chose the light or dark look. Your answers in check-ins and the tools are held only while the screen is open, then they are gone.

No connection needed. The helplines, skills and meeting list are built into the app, so it works offline. The meeting list is refreshed when a new version of the app is released, not while you use it.

When you tap something that leaves the app. Some buttons hand you over to another app on your phone, and that app has its own privacy policy:

Permissions. The app does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, files or notifications. Android lists a vibration permission (for the gentle taps during breathing) and internet access, which Android includes by default. The app does not use the internet.

This website

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits. It helps us see how many people find the site and how they got here. Google Analytics uses cookies and records things like:

It does not tell us who you are, and we never combine it with anything else. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Detailed visit data is deleted after 14 months. The summary counts in our reports, such as visits per page, are kept for as long as the site runs. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy.

If you would rather not be counted, you can block cookies in your browser or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may keep basic server logs for security. See GitHub's privacy statement.

The email list

If you leave your email on the home page, it is saved in a Google Form that only we can see. We use it only to email you about WiseMind: first on the day it is on Google Play, and after that the occasional note about the app, such as a new feature. We do not share it, sell it or use it for anything else.

If we send these emails with an email service rather than by hand, your address is passed to that service only to send them. Every email tells you how to stop them, and you can ask us to remove your address at any time. We keep it until you ask us to, or until we stop sending WiseMind news.

Your rights

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask what information is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. The app holds nothing about you. The website holds the anonymous visit counts described above, and your email only if you joined the email list. If you have a question or concern, email adhdezpz@gmail.com. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator.

Changes

If this changes, for example if the app ever needs to connect to the internet, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
